Pass Plus is a scheme from the DVSA aimed at drivers who have recently passed their driving practical test. The aim to to make new drivers safer drivers by taking an additional course, as it is statistically proven that new drivers in the first few year are more likely to have accidents than experienced drivers.
The main aim of this course is to impart valuable knowledge to drivers who have recently passed the practical driving test, and who want to learn new skills and techniques, improve their anticipation and alertness and learn how to reduce accidents. To take this test you have to tutored by a Pass Plus registered instructor - All magnum instructors hold this qualification.
The Pass Plus course lasts for 6 modules normally taken in 3 x 2 hour sessions, or 2 x 3 hour sessions, charged at the standard hourly rate, and can be taken by anyone holding a valid licence.

- Out of town driving and rural roads
- All-weather driving
- Night driving
- Dual carriageways
- Motorway driving
The advantage of taking the Pass Plus course is other than learning to drive in a more advanced and safer manner, this course also allows you to get cheaper rates on Insurance. For most younger drivers taking this one course will reduce their insurance quote more than the cost of the Pass Plus course.
